The crown is rendered in relief with decorative horizontal banding. The encircling Greek legend names the Severan games held at Nicaea. The reverse type commemorates the ϹΕΟΥΗΡΕΙΑ, the sacred agonistic festival instituted in honor of Septimius Severus by the city of Nicaea in Bithynia. |
