| Description du revers | Aphrodite, depicted as a draped seated figure, rides in a biga drawn by two Tritons moving to the left; she holds a mirror in her raised right hand, a fitting attribute for the goddess of love. The two Triton figures, half-human and half-fish, are shown flanking the central composition as they propel the chariot through the sea. The magistrate's legend is distributed around the field and in the lower exergual area, identifying the presiding duovir and the colony of Corinth. |
