| Descrizione del dritto | Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Herennius Etruscus as Caesar, facing right, viewed from the front. The portrait presents the youthful effigy of the co-emperor, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Lydian mint at Hypaepa. The encircling Greek legend identifies the subject as Herennius Etruscus Decius Caesar. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical provincial fabric with moderate wear. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Cult statue of Artemis Anaïtis standing facing, depicted in the distinctive local iconography of Hypaepa, wearing a kalathos (cylindrical headdress) atop her head and extending both arms outward at her sides in a gesture of epiphany or benediction. The goddess is rendered in a stiff, frontal, xoanon-like manner consistent with the archaic cultic tradition of the sanctuary at Hypaepa. The ethnic legend ΥΠΑΙΠΗΝΩΝ encircles the type in the field, identifying the issuing city. The reverse fabric is irregular, consistent with provincial hammered coinage of the mid-third century AD. |
