| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare-headed, cuirassed bust of the young Geta facing right, depicted from the rear in three-quarter view. The portrait conveys the youthful features characteristic of Geta's early provincial coinage. The obverse legend is disposed around the bust in Greek characters. The style is consistent with Ionian provincial workshop production of the Severan period. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | River god Astraios, the local deity of Metropolis, reclines to the left in a relaxed pose, holding a reed in one hand and resting his arm upon an overturned water urn from which water flows. The figure is depicted in the conventional Hellenistic tradition for personified river deities. The ethnic legend of the Metropolitans is disposed around the reverse field. The type reflects the civic pride of Metropolis in its local mythological traditions. |
