| Opis rewersu | Four-line Persian inscription occupying the entire field, recording the mint name and the Hijri date. The legend reads 'The city of Dmanis, may God prosper it, two forty, six hundred,' indicating the Hijri year 642 (AD 1244/1245). The script is rendered in a bold, informal Naskh hand typical of Caucasian regional copper coinage of the period. A border of dots surrounds the inscription, consistent with the obverse. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, as is characteristic of hammered issues from this mint. |
