| Opis awersu | Central field bears an ornate monogrammatic ligature of two Georgian Mtavruli (Asomtavruli) letters ႣႧ (Ⴇ inscribed within Ⴃ), serving as the royal cypher of King Davit (David VI). Surrounding the central device is a four-line Persian legend arranged in the field. Flanking the fourth line of the Persian inscription, the Georgian Qoronikon date (Paschal Circle year) is rendered in Asomtavruli characters on both sides, recording the equivalent of AD 1245. The composition combines Arabic-script Persian text with Georgian monogram and calendrical notation in a characteristic multi-script arrangement typical of medieval Georgian copper coinage. |
