| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field bears an ornate monogrammatic ligature of two Georgian Mtavruli (Asomtavruli) letters ႣႧ (Ⴇ inscribed within Ⴃ), serving as the royal cypher of King Davit (David VI). Surrounding the central device is a four-line Persian legend arranged in the field. Flanking the fourth line of the Persian inscription, the Georgian Qoronikon date (Paschal Circle year) is rendered in Asomtavruli characters on both sides, recording the equivalent of AD 1245. The composition combines Arabic-script Persian text with Georgian monogram and calendrical notation in a characteristic multi-script arrangement typical of medieval Georgian copper coinage. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Five-line legend filling the field, comprising four lines of Arabic-script Persian text recording the mint name (Dmanis) and the Hijri date (642 AH), followed by a fifth line bearing the inverted Georgian Qoronikon date written in Asomtavruli characters running from right to left. The mint name formula invokes divine blessing upon the city of Dmanis, consistent with standard medieval Islamic mint epigraphy adapted for Georgian royal coinage. The multi-script and multi-calendrical format of this reverse is a distinguishing feature of Type 2 copper issues of David VI. |
