| Opis awersu | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Persian poetic legend in nasta'liq-influenced Arabic script, arranged in three horizontal registers across the central field and enclosed within a plain linear cartouche. The inscription reads: 'The sun and moon have become gold and silver throughout the world, by the coins of the Imam, indeed, the Master of Time.' Floral and foliate scroll decorations fill the marginal areas surrounding the central cartouche. The regnal year 1180 AH appears within the legend. The overall strike is characteristic of Zand-period hammered coinage, with moderate relief and irregular flan edges. |
