The inscription reads: 'The sun and moon have become gold and silver throughout the world, by the coins of the Imam, indeed, the Master of Time.' Floral and foliate scroll decorations fill the marginal areas surrounding the central cartouche. The regnal year 1180 AH appears within the legend. The overall strike is characteristic of Zand-period hammered coinage, with moderate relief and irregular flan edges. |

The upper line bears the pious invocation 'Ya Karim' (O Generous One, an epithet of both God and the ruler Karim Khan), while the lower line records the mint name 'Zarb Shiraz' (struck at Shiraz). Foliate and arabesque scroll ornaments occupy the marginal field surrounding the central inscription panel. The flan exhibits the characteristic irregular outline of hand-struck Zand coinage. |
