At centre, a cream-coloured vignette reproduces a facsimile of a prisoner-of-war postcard ('Carte postale') complete with a printed Red Cross emblem, trilingual sender address lines in German, French, and Cyrillic, and a handwritten dedication reading 'An unsere Lieben in der Heimat'.
