Obverse description Dark-toned letterpress vignette rendered in a stark black-and-white graphic style with snow and icicle motifs framing the upper border, evoking a Siberian winter landscape. The denomination numerals '99' and 'Hl.' appear in large white relief characters at left and right, flanking a central yellow panel bearing a handwritten German verse in Kurrent script regarding the plight of war prisoners in Siberia. Below the central panel, a multi-line printed text in Roman type cites the resolution of 13 June 1920 by which the issuing association guaranteed redemption of the note in legal tender by 30 September 1920, followed by four manuscript signatures and the place-date 'Linz, am 15. Juni 1920'; the artist's credit 'Karl Huber, Urfahr' appears in small print at lower left.

Reverse description Multicolour letterpress design printed in black and green with a decorative foliate border of stylised laurel wreaths enclosing the four corners, each bearing the denomination '99' above or below 'HELLER' in bold cartouches. The title 'GUTSCHEIN' appears in large type at the top within a white ribbon banner. At centre, a cream-coloured vignette reproduces a facsimile of a prisoner-of-war postcard ('Carte postale') complete with a printed Red Cross emblem, trilingual sender address lines in German, French, and Cyrillic, and a handwritten dedication reading 'An unsere Lieben in der Heimat'. Below the central vignette, the full name of the issuing organisation is printed in bold Roman type; the designer's monogram 'Czermak' appears at lower right.
