| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is dominated by a large landscape vignette in brown-black letterpress over a pink ground, showing a panoramic view of Burg Schärnstein castle complex set against an Alpine mountain backdrop, with a flowering plant motif along the left margin. The denomination numeral '80' appears at upper left within the decorative ruled border. The inscription 'Burg' is set in Gothic script in a ruled panel at the top centre, while 'SCHÄRNSTAIN' and the founding date '1204' are rendered in ornamental lettering at the lower centre of the vignette. |

Viechtwang is a small rural commune in Upper Austria, and like hundreds of similarly sized municipalities it issued Notgeld during the severe coin shortage that followed the First World War. The 80 Heller denomination is slightly irregular — most Austrian municipal issues clustered around rounder values — which may reflect a specific local pricing need rather than simple arbitrary choice.
The Jaksc/Pick reference JPR1109-80.2 suggests a second type exists for this denomination, meaning Viechtwang produced at least two distinct versions of its 80 Heller.
