Obverse description Pink-toned notgeld note with a decorative twig-and-branch border enclosing the issuer name 'Gemeinde Viechtwang' in large Gothic script across the upper left. A text block in the centre states the redemption obligation dated 6 April 1920, with the denomination numeral '80' appearing at upper right and lower right corners. To the right, an oval vignette encloses a woodcut-style view of Ruine Scharnstein castle amid conifers, captioned 'RUINE SCHARNSTEIN' along the oval frame; three manuscript signatures of municipal officials appear below the text block.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a large landscape vignette in brown-black letterpress over a pink ground, showing a panoramic view of Burg Schärnstein castle complex set against an Alpine mountain backdrop, with a flowering plant motif along the left margin. The denomination numeral '80' appears at upper left within the decorative ruled border. The inscription 'Burg' is set in Gothic script in a ruled panel at the top centre, while 'SCHÄRNSTAIN' and the founding date '1204' are rendered in ornamental lettering at the lower centre of the vignette.
