Austrian municipal notgeld of this period exists in the thousands of varieties, but Haibach bei Aschach is a genuinely small commune in Upper Austria — the population has never exceeded a few hundred — which makes the administrative effort behind this issue disproportionate to its scale. The three signatories represent the full weight of local government: mayor, deputy mayor, and a council member, all signing off on an 80-Heller denomination that would have covered little more than a bread loaf in 1920 inflation conditions.
