| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in red-orange and dark brown on a cream ground, with a beige guilloche underprint at the four corners each bearing the denomination '75 Pf.' At centre, a large red rectangular vignette contains the prancing white horse of Brunswick (the Saxon Steed), framed by a dark crosshatch-patterned panel to the left bearing the denomination '75 / Pf.' in bold white numerals, and a text panel to the right. Above the central vignette runs the bold Gothic legend 'Braunschweiger Notgeld', and below, the issuing authority 'Braunschweigische Staatsbank' with the place and date 'Braunschweig, den 1. Mai 1921' and a manuscript signature. The text panel reads that the note is accepted as payment by all state treasuries and loses its validity on 1 May 1923; artist credits 'Günther' and 'Clausen' appear at the lower left and right of the central vignette respectively. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is executed in dark brown and rust-brown on a cream ground, printed in a flat woodcut-like illustrative style by the artists Günther and Clausen. The central scene, captioned below 'Eulenspiegel als Arzt' (Till Eulenspiegel as physician), shows a seated female figure in traditional costume to the left, gesturing toward a chaotic pile of provisions — bottles, tins labelled 'Conserve Biog[raphie]', loaves, and scattered goods — at the centre of the composition, while the jester Till Eulenspiegel, wearing a fool's costume with ruff collar, sits to the right holding a bottle. A speech-bubble cartouche above reads the Low German verse 'Nist dava slapen freten supen sachte gahn un pupen dat bleit an'. The denomination '75' appears in large numerals at upper left and upper right within the border. |
