The issuer name "Burg auf Fehmarn" is set in large Gothic script across the lower centre, beneath which the legend "Das Stadtverordnetenkollegium" identifies the issuing body, accompanied by two manuscript facsimile signatures and a printed serial number at lower left. Validity conditions are printed in Gothic script in two columns flanking the coat of arms, with the printer's imprint "J. C. König & Ebhardt in Hannover" at the very foot of the note. |

The narrative inscription runs across the top and bottom of the note in Gothic blackletter, invoking the Low German proverb concerning King Erich. The overall composition fills the entire note surface without a formal border, giving it the character of a collector's artistic print. |
