| Obverse description | Yellow-ochre notgeld note with a red and black border frame, the denomination "75" printed in large red numerals at upper left and upper right flanking the Gothic blackletter title "Pfennig". The municipal coat of arms of Burg auf Fehmarn occupies the centre, rendered in full colour and showing a fortified castle with two green-capped towers set above stylised waves. The issuer name "Burg auf Fehmarn" is set in large Gothic script across the lower centre, beneath which the legend "Das Stadtverordnetenkollegium" identifies the issuing body, accompanied by two manuscript facsimile signatures and a printed serial number at lower left. Validity conditions are printed in Gothic script in two columns flanking the coat of arms, with the printer's imprint "J. C. König & Ebhardt in Hannover" at the very foot of the note. |

The narrative inscription runs across the top and bottom of the note in Gothic blackletter, invoking the Low German proverb concerning King Erich.
