Freiberg's notgeld program was one of the more coherent municipal efforts in Saxony — the city leaned heavily on its identity as a centuries-old silver mining center, and the local printer Ernst Lange handled the entire run in-house rather than farming it out to the larger specialist printers in Leipzig or Dresden who dominated much of the regional notgeld trade.
The "c" variant designation in the Lindman reference typically indicates a paper stock or color distinction within the same denomination run — worth confirming against a type example before cataloging as a separate piece.
