Descrizione del dritto	Dark olive-green note with an elaborate guilloche framework enclosing the central denomination legend "CINCI MII LEI" in large letterpress type, flanked by symmetrical guilloche rosettes bearing the numeral "5000" at left and right. The issuing authority "COMANDAMENTUL ARMATEI ROSII" appears in a cartouche at the top centre, with ornate corner vignettes in each corner. Legal tender and anti-counterfeiting warnings are printed in small text below the central legend, and the date "1944" appears at the lower centre.

Descrizione del rovescio	Printed in dark blue-black on a pale olive-yellow guilloche underprint, the reverse centres on a large scalloped guilloche medallion bearing the bold numeral "5000" above the word "LEI". Two flanking octagonal guilloche panels at left and right each carry the denomination legend "CINCI MII LEI" in block capitals. The issuing authority "COMANDAMENTUL ARMATEI ROSII" is inscribed in a decorative banner across the top of the note.
