Legal tender and anti-counterfeiting warnings are printed in small text below the central legend, and the date "1944" appears at the lower centre.

Two flanking octagonal guilloche panels at left and right each carry the denomination legend "CINCI MII LEI" in block capitals. The issuing authority "COMANDAMENTUL ARMATEI ROSII" is inscribed in a decorative banner across the top of the note.
