背面描述 Central device depicts a gilt, gold-plated seated figure of Sita Tara (White Tara) in the lotus position, rendered in fine relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. The figure is adorned with traditional ornaments and holds a lotus flower, consistent with iconographic representations of Sita Tara in Mongolian Buddhist art. To the left of the figure, a vertical inscription in Mongolian traditional script appears in the field. The curved legend 'UNDUR GEGHEN ZANABAZAR 1635-1723' arcs across the upper portion of the coin, while 'Sita Tara' and the date '1999' appear in the lower field.

附加信息

Zanabazar — born 1635, died 1723 — was the first Jebtsundamba Khutughtu, the highest reincarnate lama of Outer Mongolia, and is widely regarded as the finest sculptor Central Asia produced in the 17th century. His bronzes, many of which survive in Mongolian and Russian museum collections, drew directly on Newari techniques he encountered during study in Tibet. The gilt finish on this issue directly references the gilded surfaces of his own devotional castings.
