Reverse description The central field bears the large bold numeral '500' as the face value, below which the denomination is inscribed in three languages: Sinhala ('රුපියල් පන්සියයයි'), Tamil ('ஐந்நூறு ரூபாய்'), and Latin ('FIVE HUNDRED RUPEES'). The country name 'SRI LANKA' appears in Latin script on the right, with 'ශ්‍රී ලංකා' in Sinhala at the top and 'இலங்கை' in Tamil on the left, all arranged around the inner field. The date '2014' is inscribed in the lower portion, flanked by decorative arrow and laurel motifs. A beaded inner border and ornamental repeating outer rim frame the entire design.
