备注

The 500 Pesos / 50 Condores duality reflects the awkward monetary transition Chile was navigating in 1925, when the Condor was introduced as the new unit at a fixed rate of 10 Pesos — making the dual denomination not decorative but legally necessary during the overlap period. The Banco Central de Chile itself had only just been established that same year, created under pressure from the Kemmerer Mission, the American financial advisory team that reshaped central banking across several South American republics in the 1920s.

Printing by the Imprenta Fiscal rather than a European security printer — Bradbury Wilkinson, Waterlow, or similar — was a deliberate assertion of domestic production capability, though the quality differential was noticeable.
