Obverse description Letterpress-printed in green on cream paper, the note is framed by an ornate foliate and geometric border with the denomination '500 000' set in the upper panel. The central field carries the value in large Gothic script — 'Fünfhunderttausend Mark' — above a block of German body text specifying the issuing company, redemption conditions, and validity date of 30 September 1923. The place and date of issue 'Stolberg, Rhld., den 15. August 1923' appear in the lower body, accompanied by a handwritten serial number prefixed 'Litt. A', a violet facsimile stamp-signature of the Stolberg branch, and the legend 'ST. GOBAIN' in the bottom panel.

Dieser Gutschein wird von der Actien-Gesellschaft der Spiegel-Manufacturen und chemischen Fabriken von St. Gobain, Chauny & Cirey, Zweigniederlassung Stolberg, Rhld. sowie von der Deutschen Bank, Filiale Aachen und deren Zweigstelle Stolberg gegen Papier-Reichsmark in Zahlung genommen und bei hinreichenden Reichsbanknotenbeständen auch gegen diese umgetauscht.
Der Schein verliert seine Gültigkeit am 30. September 1923.
