Beschrijving keerzijde	The central design is dominated by the Ecuadorian national coat of arms in fine intaglio engraving, framed by elaborate scrollwork and flanked by large guilloche rosette medallions bearing the numeral 50 at left and right. A condor with spread wings surmounts the shield, which carries a river scene with a steamer and a snow-capped volcano beneath a radiant sun. The bank title BANCO CENTRAL DEL ECUADOR is inscribed at the top, and the denomination legend CINCUENTA SUCRES appears within an ornate cartouche at the base of the note.
