A condor with spread wings surmounts the shield, which carries a river scene with a steamer and a snow-capped volcano beneath a radiant sun. The bank title BANCO CENTRAL DEL ECUADOR is inscribed at the top, and the denomination legend CINCUENTA SUCRES appears within an ornate cartouche at the base of the note. |
