The design is enclosed within a plain inner circle, itself surrounded by a rope-twist or chain border. The Arabic legend reading 'دولة سورية' (State of Syria) is inscribed along the upper arc between the inner and outer borders, accompanied by a six-pointed star at the apex. The date appears in both Eastern Arabic-Indic numerals (١٩٣٣) and Western Arabic numerals (1933) at the lower arc of the border. The coin's outer rim is decorated with a continuous alternating chevron or sawtooth pattern. |
