A central rectangular vignette presents a harbour scene with a vessel and figures, below which the Arabic bank title appears within a decorative panel; the lower portion carries the bilingual denomination legend CINQUANTE PIASTRES ou UNE DEMI LIVRE SYRIENNE with its Arabic equivalent, a bilingual redemption clause, the place and date of issue BEYROUTH le 1er Juillet 1920, and two signature blocks above the lower-left denomination cartouche. |

The entire composition is enclosed within intricate geometric and floral guilloche borders. |
