A radiating sunburst forms the background behind the monument. To the left, a circular underprint cartouche carries the denomination '50 Pfg' in Gothic letterforms with ornamental framing; to the right, the circular municipal seal of Schmiedeberg bears a crowned heraldic eagle with the Latin legend 'SIGIL. CIVITATIS SCHMIEDEBERGENSIS REGIAE'. The printer's imprint 'FLEMMING–WISKOTT–A.G.–GLOGAU' appears below the lower border. |

Flanking the central scene are two side panels in dark ink: at left, a hiker in traditional mountain attire reading a map; at right, a figure in regional folk dress carrying a pole with a lantern. Denomination numerals '50' and 'Pfg' appear in blue cartouches at the lower corners, and the registration mark 'D.R.G.M. 795679.' is printed beneath the lower border. |
