The central vignette presents a full-colour illustration of the birthplace of poet and illustrator Wilhelm Busch in Wiedensahl, a traditional Lower Saxon farmhouse with a steeply pitched thatched roof set amid trees, with an identifying inscription to the upper right. The upper panel carries the title legend in Gothic script, while the lower panel bears the validity clause and the facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister. |

The central vignette, rendered in a coloured letterpress illustration in the manner of Wilhelm Busch, depicts a scene from the Max und Moritz story cycle in which Frau Böck applies a hot iron to the bodies of the two mischievous boys laid across a table, with steam rising from a pot nearby. A two-line rhyming couplet in Gothic script runs along the lower margin. |
