| Beschrijving voorzijde | Two armoured knights in half-figure flank the central vignette, each holding a lance and standing behind a heraldic shield — the left bearing a chequered coat of arms, the right bearing a lion rampant with a floral base. The large numeral '50' occupies a bold black cartouche at centre, below which the denomination 'Pfennig' and the issuing authority 'Notgeld der Stadt Schalkau/Thür.' are inscribed in Gothic letterpress. The lower border carries the validity date and the serial number alongside the issuing office designation 'Bürgermeisteramt', all printed in black and violet on cream paper. |
