备注

Mylau is a small textile town in the Vogtland district of Saxony, and this note is one of dozens issued by municipal councils across the region during the acute coin shortage of 1921. The Stadtrat — the town council, not a bank — had legal authority to issue Kleingeldersatz under emergency provisions that had been repeatedly extended since the war. Carl Werner in nearby Reichenbach handled a substantial portion of the Vogtland municipal printing work during this period, which accounts for the consistent production quality across otherwise unrelated issuers.

The reference suffix indicating four variants (1-4/4) suggests the series was issued with date or signature differences rather than design changes — typical of Werner's output for these councils.
