At the base, the Gutschein serial number, validity clause, issue date '17.5.1921,' and the magistrate's facsimile signature 'Buckstein' are printed, with the printer's imprint 'Louis Koch, Halberstadt' at the foot. |

A banner across the top carries the civic motto 'Aufrecht, Einig, Treu, Redlich und Standhafft — Das gewinnt und erhält Leut und Landschaft.' The lower panel bears the commemorative legend 'Erhebung des Fleckens Hoym zur Stadt im Jahre 1540,' flanked by denomination numerals '50' in octagonal frames. |
