To the left, a validity notice in Gothic script advises that the voucher expires three months after public announcement; to the right, the place and date 'Aken, 1. Oktober 1921' and the facsimile signature of Der Magistrat appear above a serial number in the lower centre. |

The central vignette, signed by the artist C. Krüger and numbered '4', presents a naturalistic scene of a European beaver gnawing a fallen tree trunk on a sandy riverbank amid woodland, a motif for which the Aken region was historically noted. A two-line verse in Gothic script runs across the lower margin. |
