| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in red, green, and black on cream paper with a decorative ruled border and floral corner ornaments. At centre, a circular vignette contains the medieval seal of the city of Aken (Elbe), showing a bishop standing beneath a Gothic twin-towered gate flanked by heraldic shields, with the Latin legend around the circumference. To the left, a validity notice in Gothic script advises that the voucher expires three months after public announcement; to the right, the place and date 'Aken, 1. Oktober 1921' and the facsimile signature of Der Magistrat appear above a serial number in the lower centre. |
