The encircling legend reads ELIZABETH·II D·G·REG·F·D, with FIFTY PENCE to the right and the date 2013 below. The engraver's initials IRB appear beneath the truncation. The design fills the heptagonal flan with characteristic high-relief portraiture typical of Rank-Broadley's treatment of the royal effigy. |
