The denomination numeral '50' appears in large bold type at each corner, while the central text in blackletter script reads 'Fünfzig Mark' as the principal denomination legend. Below, the issuing authority text and date are set in a smaller blackletter typeface, flanked at the foot by two manuscript signatures under the titles 'Bürgermeister' (Der Rat der Stadt Pirna) and 'Stadtkassendirektor' (Die Stadthauptkasse), with a small embossed or blind-stamped seal at the centre base. The central vignette, set within a rectangular frame, shows a stone fountain surmounted by a standing female figure, encircled by a curved inscription; below the fountain a decorative cartouche bears the city arms. Large blackletter 'Mark' legends appear at upper left and right, with the numeral '50' in bold beneath each. The series letter 'REIHE C' is printed in red at lower left, and the serial number with asterisk appears in red at lower right. An anti-counterfeiting warning text is set at the top of the central panel, and a validity clause at the foot states the note is valid for two months from the date of issue. |
