| Obverse description | Green and cream note with an elaborate guilloche border framing the entire face. The denomination numeral '50' appears in large bold type at each corner, while the central text in blackletter script reads 'Fünfzig Mark' as the principal denomination legend. Below, the issuing authority text and date are set in a smaller blackletter typeface, flanked at the foot by two manuscript signatures under the titles 'Bürgermeister' (Der Rat der Stadt Pirna) and 'Stadtkassendirektor' (Die Stadthauptkasse), with a small embossed or blind-stamped seal at the centre base.
