A circular border legend in Romanian reads '• LUPOAICA ROMANĂ CU ROMULUS ȘI REMUS • CHIȘINĂU •', encircling the design along the rim. Below the central motif, a multi-line inscription commemorates the centenary of the monument's installation and includes a quotation attributed to Mihai Eminescu: 'DA.
