Surrounding the vignette, the text is laid out in two flanking columns of Gothic blackletter script conveying the redemption conditions of the voucher, with a decorative border of stylised ornamental motifs at the foot of the design and the year '1920' repeated twice in the lower corners within geometric cartouches. A diagonal overprint reading 'Wird von der Herausgeberin mit obigem Zinssatz / Einlösungsterm...' is applied across the face in black ink.

Opmerkingen

Austrian Notgeld issued by a district youth welfare committee — one of the more unusual issuing authorities in the 1920–1921 emergency currency wave. Most Notgeld came from municipalities, savings banks, or chambers of commerce; a Bezirksausschuss für Jugendfürsorge stepping into that role suggests either an opportunistic fundraising motive or genuine local coin shortage severe enough that social welfare bodies felt compelled to act. The proceeds from Notgeld sales were sometimes retained as a premium above face value, effectively functioning as a charitable collection mechanism.

Neufelden is a small market town in Upper Austria's Mühlviertel. Whether this piece circulated actively or was produced primarily for collectors is worth considering — by 1920, the Notgeld collecting craze was already distorting issuance decisions across the region.
