Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse is printed in blue on cream paper with an ornate border of fruit and foliage motifs. A central vignette at the top presents three large wooden barrels or casks resting on a rack, flanked by fruit-laden tree branches, with the date split either side as '19' and '20'. Below the vignette, the denomination 'Heller 50 Heller' is set in bold lettering, with the issuing legend 'Gutschein der Gemeinde Abetzberg' above in a formal script. Three facsimile signatures appear at the foot, below the respective titles Vice-Bürgerin, Bürgermeister, and Gemeinderat, with the printer's imprint 'C. Queiser Amstetten' at the lower right.

Opmerkingen

One of thousands of Austrian municipal Notgeld issues produced in the chaotic years immediately following the collapse of the Habsburg Empire, this 50 Heller piece was printed locally by C. Queiser in Amstetten — a practical choice, since the chronic paper money shortage of 1919–1921 forced even the smallest Gemeinden to source emergency coinage substitutes from whatever commercial printers lay within reach. Three signatories authenticate this example, which was unusual enough for a village-level issue to suggest the municipality was covering its administrative bases carefully.
