The denomination 'cinquante francs.' is inscribed in large script at centre, below 'BANQUE DE L'ALGÉRIE' and the date and place of issue 'ALGER, le…', with 'PAYABLES A VUE AU PORTEUR' beneath; Arabic text appears below the French legends.
