A five-pointed star appears to the left of the central motif, lending the design a pronounced ideological character. The four-digit date '1978' is inscribed in the lower exergue, with the star rendered as a bold decorative element preceding it. The overall composition is spare and monumental, consistent with the propagandistic aesthetic of North Korean numismatic design of the period. |
