Obverse description Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the first portrait by Cecil Thomas, depicting the young queen wearing the St. Edward's Crown with prominent arches and cross pattée finial. The bust is draped, with the queen's hair styled in soft curls beneath the crown. The circular legend reads QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND, arranged around the periphery. A fine beaded border frames the entire design.
