At the top centre, the municipal coat of arms of Le Havre — flanked by lion supporters and an anchor — is set within a decorative vignette surmounted by the motto scrolls 'NUTRISCO ET' and 'EXTINGUO'. The left margin carries a caduceus vignette inscribed 'COMMERCE' and the right a nautical emblem inscribed 'NAVIGATION', with the denomination panel '50 CENTIMES' printed in bold letterpress across the centre, overlaid by a red guilloche underprint watermark numeral, two facsimile signatures below, and the year '1920' in a box at the foot. |
