A central oval cartouche carries the large denomination numeral '50' above 'CENTIMES', flanked by two red heraldic shield vignettes — an anchor motif at upper right and a caduceus at lower left — with the authorizing deliberation dates inscribed to either side. Printed signature lines for the Président and Trésorier appear below the cartouche, the series number in red at lower right, and the designer's credit 'MARIUS SIMON' at the lower left margin. |

A central oval cartouche carries the denomination numeral '50' above 'CENTIMES', surrounded by a lengthy bilingual guarantee text attesting that the notes are backed by a deposit at the Banque de France and are exchangeable at its branches within the Alpes-Maritimes department prior to 31 December 1919. Two red heraldic shield vignettes bearing the years '1917' and '1919' are placed at lower left and upper right respectively, with the printer's imprint 'ROBAUDY – CANNES' at the lower left margin. |
