Reverse description The reverse presents a bare, laureate-free left-facing bust of Simón Bolívar, rendered in high relief with finely engraved hair and strong classical profile, occupying the central field. The legend BOLÍVAR is inscribed along the left periphery and LIBERTADOR along the right, both following the curvature of the beaded border. Below the truncation, flanked by a small star on each side, appears the engraver's signature BARRE, with the Paris Mint mark A positioned at the lower right near the border. The portrait is executed in the neoclassical style characteristic of Désiré-Albert Barre's work for the Monnaie de Paris, with a plain, unadorned field providing strong contrast to the effigy.
