| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is printed in dark purple and orange-red on a cream ground, with an all-over guilloche underprint of repeated numeral '5' ornaments covering the entire field. The issuing authority title 'ALLIERTE MILITÄRBEHÖRDE' arches across the upper portion in bold serif lettering, flanked at the upper corners by the denomination numeral '5 SCHILLING' in dark ink. The central zone carries a horizontal band with the large intaglio text 'FÜNF SCHILLING', surmounted by the series designation 'SERIE 1944' at left, with elaborate lathe-work rosettes and diamond-shaped denominational vignettes to either side; the legend 'IN OESTERREICH AUSGEGEBEN' appears in a banner below the central panel, and a further denomination cartouche with the numeral '5' is set at the lower centre between two scrolled ribbon devices. |

Within the cartouche, the denomination text 'FÜNF SCHILLING' is rendered in bold orange-red intaglio lettering against a fine lathe-work background. Flanking oval panels to the left and right each bear the numeral '5' above the word 'SCHILLING' in orange-red, and the ghost image of the obverse lettering is visible through the paper as show-through from the printed face. |
