The issuing authority title 'ALLIERTE MILITÄRBEHÖRDE' arches across the upper portion in bold serif lettering, flanked at the upper corners by the denomination numeral '5 SCHILLING' in dark ink. The central zone carries a horizontal band with the large intaglio text 'FÜNF SCHILLING', surmounted by the series designation 'SERIE 1944' at left, with elaborate lathe-work rosettes and diamond-shaped denominational vignettes to either side; the legend 'IN OESTERREICH AUSGEGEBEN' appears in a banner below the central panel, and a further denomination cartouche with the numeral '5' is set at the lower centre between two scrolled ribbon devices. |
