Beschrijving voorzijde	Portrait of King George V in right-facing profile occupies the right portion of the note, set against a fine guilloche underprint in blue. The Royal Arms of Australia appears as a vignette within an oval frame to the left, surrounded by intricate lathe-work border ornamentation. The denomination "FIVE POUNDS" is printed in bold letterpress at centre, below the promise-to-pay legend in cursive script, with serial numbers appearing twice in the upper central field.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The central vignette presents a scenic oval landscape view of the Hawkesbury River (known to the Dharug people as Deerubbun), framed by elaborate guilloche scrollwork and lathe-work ornamentation in deep blue. Tall denomination numerals "5" appear in bold relief at the left and right margins, flanking the central scene. The inscriptions "FIVE POUNDS" appear twice at the lower portion of the note, separated by a cross-hatched ornamental device.
